Before any display gets mounted or any rack gets built, the cabling has to be right. Low voltage cabling in a healthcare environment means running data drops to every exam room workstation, every nurse station position, the staff work area, and the equipment room — all while keeping runs clean, labeled, and compliant.
We ran Cat6 throughout the facility, terminating every run at the central rack. Proper labeling at both ends is something we take seriously on every job. When the IT team comes in behind us to configure the network, they need to know exactly what they're working with. Clean documentation saves everyone time and prevents headaches down the road.
Display Installations: Exam Rooms and Treatment Spaces
One of the more rewarding parts of this project was the display work across the exam and treatment rooms. The architect designed beautiful arched alcoves with a blue-gray accent wall and warm wood trim — and the displays needed to sit flush and clean within that framing.
Each exam room received a wall-mounted monitor at the provider workstation, connected to a keyboard and mouse. Clean cable management to the wall outlet plates kept everything tidy and professional. In several rooms, the monitors extend out on an arm so providers can position the screen toward patients or pull it back to their work surface.
The treatment rooms each got a larger wall-mounted display — the kind of thoughtful detail that matters in a space where patients may spend an extended amount of time. A display that works reliably in that setting isn't a luxury; it's part of the patient experience.
The Nurse Station and Staff Work Areas
The main nurse station runs the length of the front of the facility — a long, built-in white counter with multiple workstation positions. Each position needed a monitor deployed and connected. We worked with the IT company to ensure every workstation was properly set up and ready for staff on opening day.
The staff workroom got a similar treatment: multiple dual-monitor workstations deployed and ready, with cabling run cleanly behind the built-in shelving along the back wall.
The Rack: Where It All Comes Together
The network enclosure is the backbone of the whole facility. CoreLink's role here was building out the rack and terminating every cable run — patch panels landed, everything labeled, and the enclosure organized and ready for the IT company to come in and mount their equipment.
